Throughout September - October The Turner House walls will be filled with work from over 100 artists, selected by a panel of representatives from The National Museum of Wales and Penarth Town Council. The exhibition centers on the theme of ‘Trails’: Exploring how we navigate the land and embark on personal journeys.
In the submitted work, ‘The Split Between My Lonely Furrow’, the artist explores a profound bond with their past and the countryside near their family home. Having spent their formative years amongst nature, they grappled with the duality of isolation and connection.
The found poem reads:
Hidden by time, buried by foliage
The split between my lonely furrow
Held together by native oaks and ramsons
